Most times …
A simple question, is it not? Well? Not exactly. I received quite a lot of information. Design, concept, wording … everthings ready and prepared but, how much will the coding be? Well I still can’t say. My answer was as follow:
Do we understand you correct, that you request the XHTML-/CSS-coding for a premaid design and site-concept?
Please, understand that the coding very much depends on the form itself. According to the layout there are tons of methods and ways to create a site and all take different amounts of time.
We might assume the most time consuming design and you might come up with the quickest possible design.
Please help us to give the most accurate answer we are able to give. After all we don’t want to charge you more than nessecary.
Gosh, I seem to be really fussy, right? But I offer a service and most times I don’t even know myself how much time it’ll takes as whenever I start fiddling with XHTML and CSS I try to be a little better than the last time. Yet, at least I have an idea how to solve a problem, when I see the options. And of course I do have experience on which I guess how long it’ll take this time. These pretty good guesses relate on plans which I can start, as soon as I know the odds. So if you come up with the design and ask for scripting I need to see the layout first, before I can offer a price.
You might wonder, reading suddenly and unexpected English in this blog. You see the question came from the UK, maybe via flickr and thus I stick to the language for a little longer. That’s all … almost all. We are heading for world market leadership, (you know … oh, sure you do).
